Adding Structured Data To Your Funnel

After you completed the basics of SEO in ClickFunnels, we’re offering you to take another step which is adding structured data to your funnel.

What is structured data?

Structured data is a standardized format to mark up the information about any web page. It serves to search engines like Google, Yahoo, and others to better understand what the web page is about.

Simply put, it’s something you can add to the source code of your funnel that will provide search engines with detailed information about your page or funnel. It can be information about you, your business, product information, product review, and so on.

Now, you may think, “But I don’t know how to write any code”. No worries, you don’t need to write any source code yourself! All you’ll need to do is to simply use a markup generator and add the generated markup to the source code of your funnel. Let’s see how to do this!

The markup generator we’ll use in the example can generate markups for articles, events, FAQ pages, how-tos, job postings, organizations, products, recipes, and more. Although there are a lot of markup options available, for your funnels, you’ll, in most cases, need product and organization markups.

Let’s look at how to create product markup and add it to your funnel.

1. Create A Product Markup

  • Go to the markup generator and choose Product markup from the dropdown.
  • Fill in the required information.
  • Click the Copy button to copy the generated code.

Pay attention to the errors and warnings the tool is showing to you. Make sure you don’t have any errors in your markup and if possible, adjust the data to eliminate all the warnings.

In most cases, you can also generate a preview to see how your page would look on Google among other search results.
